We all know love is not only communicated in words, but what does Advent teach us about the true love of Christ for his people?
I recently had the opportunity to write about the importance of embodied love over at Gospel Centered Discipleship.

Personal presence conveys meaning mere words cannot. As Jesus shared meals, journeys, and hardships with his people, he showed how much he loves them. His willingness to be made like us in every respect, yet without sin (Heb. 4:15), teaches us that love enters the fray. Love is unwilling to sit on the sidelines and give instructions. It motivates sacrificial action for the good of those we love. shifting sands of the wicked, sinners, and scoffers cannot. The foundation on which you set your delight informs the direction of the structure it supports.
