Putting Flesh on the Bones of ‘Hope’

Hope is a word we use often, but often misuse. In a recent article over at The Gospel Coalition’s website, I wrote about how the Bible actually uses the word hope, and how the true hope we have in Jesus Christ should compel us to live changed lives. You can read a brief excerpt below and follow the link at the bottom of the page to the whole review.

Here’s an excerpt:

We hope because Jesus is seated at the right hand of God’s throne (Heb. 12:2), with all authority and power in his hands. We hope because the Bible tells us he’s going to return to earth to make all things new. We hope because Christ will one day quiet creation’s groans—and we’ll taste and see the fullness of what we can’t now.
